I like doing challenges. I like keeping myself accountable by posting about it on my blog.
I will be starting an almost carnivore challenge of eating carnivore except for a couple of little items which I will list and why I eat them for the next 30 days.
The carnivore diet is an all meat diet. I modify mine a little by eating a couple of brazil nuts a day for selenium, and sometimes I like to have a protein drink with whole milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup and vanilla. It’s only a little and only one or twice a week.
One thing I’ve been doing lately is intermittent fasting about 16-20 hours fasted a day. I think I’ll try for a 30-day streak of that as well. I might fast for 24 hours or more here or there. I’ll see as the month goes on.
I’ve been keeping track of my calories every day for a while, but I’m going to skip that for 30 days and not weigh myself. See what happens. I have a tendency to not eat a lot when having carnivore.
Today, I had one of those eat too much junk days. I haven’t been eating any carbs for a while and felt like having some ice cream and chocolate, but that’s something I don’t want to start doing. It’s one of those emotional foods.
My diet for breakfast will be homemade milk kefir and vitamins, the vitamins aren’t carnivore, so that’s one of the exceptions.
Lunch and dinner when I’m hungry. Most likely eggs, cheese, meat and things made from these, like broth.
I like to be finished eating at 5 to 5:30 pm and break my fast around 10 am. I like to workout fasted early in the day. But I don’t have a set schedule for times. I’m currently doing a 2 on / 1 off kind of schedule.
I should start to do some real cardio on the Concept 2 rower. I usually warm up with 20 minutes of rebounding before lifting weights.
