This was an easy fast. Probably because it was so hot I didn’t have much of an appetite. It was 112 yesterday and they are predicting it to be hotter today. It’s 109 right now and a couple of more hours to go before we top off for the day. This heat really sucks.
I only got about 2 1/2 hours of sleep last night. Gave up trying to sleep about 4 am then I was hungry. If I would have had a chance to sleep I probably wouldn’t have had an issue. I did have 3 good nights of sleep so no big deal. I’m sure I’ll make up for it another night. When I miss sleeping like this I don’t feel tired or notice I didn’t sleep, it just makes for a long day.
I’m sticking with fat and protein mostly snacking today.
I have a few ideas about how I want to approach my diet for the next month. I plan on eating some vegetables like lettuce, tomato, onion.
I have an egg white bread recipe I’m going to use to make buns for brats and salmon patties. Maybe make a loaf and use it for sandwiches. It would be weird to eat a sandwich.
There’s a diet I came across recently called the protein sparing modified fast. I think I could eat high protein for a day, then have a high fat a day, then a high carb day, repeat. Do it for a month, see what happens. Maybe I’ll make it 2 or 3 days for each macro before I go to the next one.
I think I’ll back off my intermittent fasting time from 19 hours a day average to 17 hours a day.
I don’t think I’ll do any fasting other than that seeing as how I just did a 90 hour fast.
