I did a pull workout today. That would be a focus on pulling exercises, mostly back and biceps.
There’s always a little lower back and abs thrown in the mix at the end.
When I was doing my own workouts, I would have an abs day.
Some people who do a pull-push-legs workout routine throw in an arm day.
I’ve been doing this workout routine for months it seems to work pretty well for me. I’ve thought about doing a bro split, which would be a body part each day. Maybe try it out for a couple of months.
Another option is the upper lower. Then variate the intensity. Like do an upper with high reps and lower weight one workout, then the next upper would use heavier weight and lower reps. The Fitbod app seems to do something along that line, of changing up the intensity.
The more I use the app the more I change around the workout, lol. I’ve taken out pretty much any powerlifting movement, weird lower back movements, front squats of any variation because my stupid shoulder makes me unable to do it without a lot of pain.
I switch up the glute thrusts for hip extensions. There are a few exercises I like to do, but need to figure out a name to call it in the app. I haven’t been doing them lately because to that.
All in all, I’m having a blast and getting stronger.
Here’s today’s pull workout.
I made a video of my workout. I need to talk or something. It’s too boring for even me to watch. I swear doing it is way more fun than watching someone else do it.
I kind of want a log or vlog of what I’m doing so I can look back at how far I’ve come in a year or so. The progress is so slow you don’t notice. I’m going to have to do a progress photo one, every once in a while. Plus, it keeps me motivated.
I’m getting the hankering to row a half marathon or something. Maybe a workout of only 10,000 meters or something like that.
