I’ve never tried the OMAD (one meal a day) diet before. I’ve had one meal in a day, like after a fast or something, but never for any length of time.
I’m not sure what to think of this.
It’s funny a few years ago I would hear of all these “fad” diets and think it’s unhealthy. I spent about 10 years on the keto diet. I lost all my weight really fast and kept it off for a dozen or so years.
I was pretty chubby after my beer brewing fun. Now, I decided not to drink a beer for at least 100 days. Beer will make you fat. I’m working to get super ripped. I keep falling off the wagon with chocolate, I bet you thought I was going to say beer. lol. No, it’s those damn chocolate chips. I need a quit app for chocolate chips, that’s the worst addiction I’ve ever had in my life, worse than smoking cigarettes, lol.
I ate quite a bit in about 45 minutes’ time. I gave myself a 1-hour food window with 23 hours of fasting.
I ate a few more carbs than I should but shrimp goes with steak, so why not. I’m curious to see if it affects me. I’m going to try and stay around 7,000 calories a week.
I didn’t weigh out the steak or molasses, but it should be close enough. I don’t think food calories are exact anyway, so whatever.
I made up some switchel. I haven’t had any in a long time. That has carbs from the molasses. I want to drink it before I eat to lower my stomach acid and increase my potassium intake a little.
I think I’ll make a post of all the supplements I’m adding to my food.
I add some things to my kefir, other things to my electrolyte drink. I take a few pills. I have a thing for chewable vitamins. I figure it’s such low quality that it won’t add much, but something is better than nothing, or maybe I’m wrong, but at least I’m enjoying myself.
I’m not sure what I’m eating for the next couple of days. It’s the weekend and easy to get derailed. I think I’ll have a big protein shake on Sunday, and maybe a protein bar. That should be about 600 calories. So I get as many as 2400 calories in the next 2 days if I do that.
It was hard to eat 1300 calories in one sitting today.
I’m just messing around. Nothing serious here. I think I’ll try and stick with it for the next couple of weeks. That’ll give me an idea if this works for me or not.
