I need to update more often.
I’ve been working on the carnivore diet eating mostly meats, eggs, cheese, and milk products. I know that’s a stretch. A lot of carnivore people start by eating a lot of different foods and end up eating mostly beef after awhile. Personally, I prefer to have a lot more flavor variety.
I’ve also been having a protein shake once in a while. I recently bought xanthan gum to add to the shake to give it a little more palatability.
One of the main things I’m doing for my health this year, as far as food goes, is to stay away from added chemicals. Anything that comes in a box, bag, or carton to have the least amount of added ingredients as possible.
I’m combining this with intermittent fasting. I have my zero app set for 16:8 but usually get close to 18 hours a day.
Next month I hope to incorporate a 48-72 hour fast or two before my birthday at the end of the month. I’m planning to binge on homemade junk food, but may change my mind before then, or only have some rocky road fudge bars I plan to make instead of going crazy for a few days and making myself sick.
I’m doing a lot better than I have in a long time. A lot of the inflammation is reduced, and I have more energy.
I’m feeling really good and look forward to finishing this month and next before I decide to make any major changes to my diet. Maybe, because the growing season is upon us, I may end up more on keto. I’m having some issues with what I believe is coming from oxalates, but I’m not sure.
I started to use creatine powder about 6 weeks ago. It must be working I’m getting a lot stronger. My joints aren’t in pain, mostly, I’m old I expect pain. I started a new way to lift by Gallant Bodybuilding.
I’m doing a 2 day on 1 off rotation, using a push/pull/legs with a day of added rack pull and abs.
I really need to spend some time getting the menus and images updated.
